Apple Cider Vinegar

Have you seen this show on Netflix? My husband is away for another 5 1/2 weeks, so I almost immediately started ruining our algorythm… again. Though it really doesn’t make sense: “Because you watched Cars 3, we’re going to suggest true crime, murder shows”… how does that work? Lol!

Such a fascinating show! So much so that I’ve started it again!

But I get it. I understand how and why people fell for her con. I’m watching it and couldn’t help but think her cookbook “The Whole Pantry” was beautiful and everything I could believe in. I probably would have bought the cookbook. I probably would have followed her.

Just like B. Gibson, almost every aspect of this photo has been edited to demonstrate how easy it is to fake something!

However, 3 years ago I believe now, I did have a brain tumor/cancer scare. I remember that terror of the possibility of dying like my dad – who had eventually lost his fight to cancer when it got into his brain. I know what it can do to a person. I saw what the chemo did to him. So to have her pretend she has brain cancer – ANY cancer – what a deplorable human being.

However, there is something to what  she was trying to sell. Eating whole foods, unprocessed, low sugar for better health… but it also shows what happens when that is taken to far.

Yes, I believe our diet and lifestyle play a MASSIVE part in our overall health. And certain things have been shown to increase cancer (and other health) risks – and others can decrease these risks.

However, we shouldn’t shun and ignore sound science when we’re sick. Yes, look into naturalpathy or homeopathy as an additional compliment to modern medicine.

For instance, I have high blood pressure. I am taking 3 different medicines to get my Hr into a healthy range. While I’m doing this, I’m also focusing on my diet and exercise to lose weight so I can (hopefully) get off the medications.

This can be done with cholesterol – do you have high cholesterol? Take medication while using diet and exercise to get your cholesterol in a healthy range. Diabetes, same thing – well, in some cases, but I’m sure you get my drift!

The show is really interesting – it really kinda sucks you in! And I hate to admit it, but I was kind of inspired! I’d been wanting to do more cooking and getting more up on my other blog “Nourishing Noms“… especially with hubby being away, I have the time to try to develop new recipes!

So watch for more recipes! But I promise I won’t try to sell you some sort of miracle BS – and I don’t have cancer (that I’m aware of).
